Phoebe joined GDFRL via a rural shelter, where she was dropped off pregnant with 7 puppies. Now that her babies have grown and been adopted, Phoebe has really come out of her shell! Phoebe is very gentle and loving with people she is familiar with. She loves to lounge and nap with you and her favorite toys. She also loves to lay in the sun and chase her foster brother in the yard.
Phoebe is crate trained and food motivated. We are working with Phoebe on her leash manners and meeting new people. She is shy, and the outside world is scary sometimes, but with positive reinforcement and her foster brother she is learning that she can trust others. Phoebe’s favorite pastime is removing all toys from the toy box, playing with them, and then leaving them all around the house for her foster mom to clean up.
Phoebe is a very petite Dane who would fit in well in a family who may find a full-sized Dane overwhelming. She is currently being fostered with a feline brother and has spent a good amount of time around children. She plays very well with other dogs and would do best with another dog as a sibling in her forever home. She is oh-so-sweet, but she can be timid and unsure on her own, so another pup to bond with will be great for her.
This girl deserves the good life—to know she’s secure and loved, and to have her very own human to snuggle and fur sibling to chase around the yard.
*Phoebe must have another dog in the home as a companion, and she must have at least a 6 ft tall fence.
