Tessa is such a wonderful girl! She’s a 4 or 5 year old Dane mix. She is housebroken and absolutely trustworthy in the house. Her foster home has a doggie door, so she enjoys going in and out of the house as she pleases. Tessa loves to be close to her foster mom – she is a super snuggler! She is a very good listener and knows and immediately obeys all basic commands. She is excellent with kids and other dogs, both small and large. There are no cats in her foster home, but of all five dogs who live there, Tessa gets (by far!) the least hyper when a neighborhood cat is spotted out a window. Of course, we all have our little imperfections about us, and for full disclosure it should be mentioned that Tessa is not a fan of delivery trucks (UPS, FedEx, etc). Her foster mom is absolutely amazed that Tessa can tell the sound of one of these trucks coming down the street before it’s even in sight! She does bark at those specific types of trucks.
Tessa warms up to women more quickly than men when she first meets new people, but she is very good with everyone once acquainted. She’s just a little afraid of men she doesn’t know at first. Tessa will make a fantastic addition to a very lucky family! This girl is very obedient, smart and full of love.
